Melissa Woods Appointed to AFL-CIO LCC Diversity Steering Committee
Melissa S. Woods, Of Counsel in Meyer Suozzi’s Labor and Employment Law Practice Groups, has been appointed to the Diversity Initiative Steering Committee of the AFL-CIO Lawyers Coordinating Committee (LCC).
The LCC Board, comprised of attorneys representing AFL-CIO affiliated international, national and local unions, is engaged in the work of improving and expanding the organization’s programs to educate and mobilize its members and advance the labor movement’s goals, while the Diversity Steering Committee specifically focuses on the development and implementation of diversity programs within the LCC. Woods has been a member of the LCC’s Board since 2012.
