The University of West Florida, located in Pensacola, Florida, invites applications for the full-time position of High-Impact and Experiential Learning Coordinator, position #125890.

Job Summary:

The Coordinator coordinates, develops, implements, and assesses CDCE/High-Impact Practice (HIP)/experiential learning programs and services primarily focused on high-impact learning and employability outcomes strategies, Cooperative Education, internships, service learning, volunteering, fellowships, and job shadowing. Duties include meeting with individual students, student organizations, and classes to assist in the education of HIP/experiential learning programs and career planning resources. This Coordinator will serve as administrator of various CDCE sponsored high-impact practices, interpret and implement UWF and departmental procedures and policies, coordinate with the Associate Director of HIP/experiential learning regarding faculty and employer interactions, and work with external internship and fellowship providers and UWF partners to organize appropriate program marketing and recruitment efforts.

Position Qualifications:

Must have knowledge of higher education academic engagement, student affairs, CDCE, and HIP/experiential learning programs, standard best practices, and student development theories. Must have experience with computer programs including standard office software, email, and internet applications. Must be very organized. Must be able to understand, interpret, analyze, and process various forms of data. Must demonstrate outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, including the delivery of presentations and workshops. Must be able to effectively interact with students, faculty, staff, and campus administration. Must be able to work independently in accordance to the department strategic, marketing, and budget plans. Must be able to make independent effective decisions related to strategic planning, policy, and student evaluation of learning. Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and three years of appropriate experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in College Student Personnel/Higher Education or a closely related field and one to three years of full-time student development experience preferred.
  • Experience with the delivery of HIP/experiential learning and/or Career Planning programs is preferred.
  • Experience with legal procedures and ethical hiring practices preferable.

Pay Range:

$35,705-$36,000
