Marilyn Loden was an American writer, management consultant, diversity advocate, and the person who coined the term “glass ceiling” to describe the invisible, but very real, barrier that women face when it comes to career advancement. As a featured panelist on the BBC series 100 Women, she explored the role of gender discrimination in the workplace. A graduate of Syracuse University, Loden authored three books focused on employee diversity in the workforce, including Implementing Diversity.
