Last Saturday was a picture-perfect day for the American Conference on Diversity’s Annual Diversity Stride Walk-a-Thon in New Brunswick, NJ. Attracting hundreds of walkers and more than a dozen corporate and community teams, the fundraiser helps educate tomorrow’s leaders through its signature LEAD FOR DIVERSITY (LFD) program.

You may remember an article we recently featured on Lead For Diversity. Formerly New Jersey’s Camp Anytown, Lead for Diversitybrings together students from diverse communities in order to learn from one another.

This past summer, the yearlong program opened with a “leadership week” summer retreat attended by students and advisors from 24 charter, public comprehensive, magnet, private, and vocational high schools from across the state to prove the value of diversity, educate and empower leaders, and promote inclusion and respect in schools and colleges.

You can experience the LFD summer camp firsthand. Join American Conference on Diversity  and the team from LFD July 17 at the Pocono Environmental Education Center in Dingmans Ferry, PA, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. During that day, advisors from nearly 20 schools will be joining their students for action planning.
